Architectures of Welfare

This book came out of the International Symposium 'Social Design – Public Action' held at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in September 2013. It brings together multiple voices from different disciplines that look at design as something that strives to structure and shape society and the environment through human activity. With contributions from: Beatrice Galilee, Anil Kumar Gupta, Jeanne van Hijsweek, Marisa Mazria Katz, Hubert Klumpner, Jeroen Koolhaas, Steve Lambert, Thomas Lomée, Constanza Macras, Leonidas Martin, Emeka Okereke, Veronika Orso, Oliver Percovich, Saskia Sassen, Tatjana Schneider and Iorn Sorvin .
