Suryagayathri Geetha Devi

Suryagayathri Geetha Devi is an architect by training. She holds an M. Arch in Architectural Conservation from the School of Planning & Architecture, Bhopal with First Rank and Proficiency Gold Medal. She is also the recipient of the Best Thesis Award for her Masters’ thesis ‘Conservation strategies for the revival of Daaru-Shilpas of Temples of Kerala’ in the year 2017. After her Masters, she joined the Indian Heritage Cities Network Foundation (IHCN-F) in Bangalore as Project Officer for the preparation of the nomination dossier for the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. She also served as Research Assistant at CMR University School of Architecture, Bangalore for a year. Presently she is investigating the pressures of urban development on craft communities for her Doctoral research at the Institute of History and Theory of Architecture and the City, Technical University of Braunschweig.
